Club Night Results 22nd Oct
Small turnout tonight but still some good match-ups to be played. Read on...
Tonight some good darts were thrown on the oches and some good conspiracy theories were discussed over refreshments.
The big question was why the small turnout tonight? Was a conspiracy the root cause?
One conspiracy theory put about was, is there a new secret Covid cluster in lockdown that has snaffled some of our regulars? Surely that could be the reason. We hadn't seen anything on the TV News. But then again TV source a lot of their stories from YouTube and I'd already been there. Only cute cat videos, street musicians playing drums on paint cans and bizarre 'believe it or not' videos.

...Mmmmmm, back again, where was I. Can't let that YouTube distract me from finding the truth.
Another theory was Donald Trump didn't like a West City Darts event distracting people from the last Presidential Debate and maybe he'd organised the CIA to kidnap some of our top players. This theory could certainly hold some weight.
And then there was the old chestnut. Had some our players been whisked away in a flying Saucer by Aliens? If they had, would they come back better players because they had had their memories erased and so could just throw good darts with a clear and uncomplicated mind. Damn - if this one is true, I'll volunteer.
One last theory was some players were away at other ongoing tournaments now that some are starting to pop-up post lockdowns. This theory was boring so we didn't spend a lot of time on it. But the truth is out there somewhere Agent Skully.
Anyways, on to the darts results. Small number of players but still some big dogs on hand. And some dogs with a bark bigger than their bite, (some self-examination required on the this last one, could be my category?) and some dogs just happy playing..
Mike F Day made it back to back Finals to prove he is just that... back !
His opponent in the Final was Frank Riddell who continued his good form of late to take yet another Club Night, this one by a 3-1 scoreline.
Harrison Donegan and Patrick "The Big Show" Shannon were the losing semi-finalists and I think both were left smarting about their exits at that late stage of the night. Look out for them next week as they will be seeking payback on anybody they come up against, I'm picking...
See you down at the club 7PM next week, if the Aliens drop me off in time that is...
