Dominant Eye...
There are a couple of ways to test which eye is more dominant, all effective but this is one way.
Stand at the oche with your normal stance and hold a pen up at arms length with the end of the pen covering the bullseye (as in the picture.. stop looking at the huge ladybird on the wall - focus!).
Slowly pull the pen back to your face but keeping the point of the pen on the bullseye. You will likely find the pen ends up under one eye rather than under your nose (the nose being the middle of your face). Whichever eye the pen ends up under - that is your dominant eye.
You should find that if your back swing ends up in line with your dominant eye then it is one factor in producing a straighter throw. Your dominant eye is the eye that has most influence over your aim.
Experiment with closing one eye when you throw. Then try with the other eye closed. See where the darts end up on the board.
Obviously there are multiple factors in mastering a technique that produces a consistent accurate throw, and I doubt there is a throw that could be termed textbook, such is the throw technique variation between all the top professional players. However if you take technique points in isolation and work on them you should see improvements in your own consistency over time (there is no hack to developing a consistent accurate throw).
