Mike Day v Deon Toki Semi Final

A slightly smaller number of players this week than last but there was still some quality darts played. No results to hand as this post goes live, but read on.

Because "Swayze" wasn't present there was no chance for me to gain some revenge or carry on our 'Dirty Dancing' Darts saga.

However I did chalk one of the KO Quarter Final round games which was a little bit of a classic. Frank Riddell v Mike Day. Frank, who has recently taken to wearing glasses while playing, was hitting the T20 with regularity in the first 2 legs. It was so much so that I was on my phone between their throws to book myself an appointment on the SpecSavers website..

Before you could blink (like what I did there?) Frank was 2-0 up and looking a certainty... except you can never write off Mike Day.

2-1 to Frank. Mike was still in this.

2-2. Set for a last leg showdown after some great clutch finishing by MD.

Frank was fading Mike was on the up. A tight last leg and another clutch finish for Mike.

Mike Day 3 Frank Riddell 2.

Great game to watch and chalk. Frank was unlucky as he played well throughout but Mike's comeback and his finishing ability is why he has been and still is (? - question mark there, anyone want to dispute it?) one on New Zealand's best players. As mentioned, this wasn't the final just a good game to write up.
