Super Series Of Darts 2012

The West City Darts Association is to organise a Super Series of Darts in 2012. The super series will comprise 10 open singles tournaments to be held once a month from February to November. The prize pool has been started of with a $500 donation put in by West City and will be added to by the entry fees. Players will pay $5 each time they play and that money will accrue and not be paid out till the final singles in November. Players will accumulate points similar to the points system for the NZDC ranking tournaments and the player with the most points will get the biggest cash prize at the final tournament. As an example a win of any individual tournament will give the player 12 points, runner-up will get 8 , 3rd equal 6 and so on. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd most 180's , most 100 plus finishes,1st, 2nd and 3rd lady player, highest finish and a certificate to mark the achievement. All games will be NZDC rules. Peter Page, treasurer West City Darts, states ' That based on numbers attending club night which averages about 30 and with possible visitors from other clubs I anticipate a prize pool at the end of the series conservatively between $2000 and $2500 to be paid out. If there is a lot of interest from other clubs it may be more. The dates and venues will be announced in December. At the moment West City will host all the events on a Thursday night but if another club wishes to host an event if they contact me we will give them up to 2 nights at a cost of $100 each. $50 will go to West City for administration and the other $50 into the prize pool. Expressions of interest can be sent to peterpage@xtra.co.nz.
