West City Club Night 18/8/11




Mike Day back from the NZDC national championships was running hot at West City Darts association club night singles beating all comers. He defeated Jimmy Hennah in the final. Dean Webster and Blair Neverman were third equal. 29 players were entered with 18 qualifiers. 180's were scored by Jim Hennah, Mike Day, Geoff Koster, Bailey Mathews, Maine Ngametua, Hemi Johnson (2) and Dean Webster (3). Highest finishes were Peter Page 158 and Dean Webster 111.


All players are welcome to play whether members or not every Thursday from 7 pm at West City's club rooms, 103 Glen Road, Ranui.


Next Thursday an Open singles tournament will be held for the ASHES trophy. This is a memorial trophy played for annually to remember all the players who have passed on. In the past there were a number of trophies for different players. They all became amalgamated into the Ashes trophy. Ken Moir was the winner last year. This tournament is open to members and non-members.
