Royal George Raise $508 for under 24's

Last night a nominated pairs tournament was held at the Royal George club rooms at the Avondale race course to raise money for the Auckland under 24 team which are playing in the NZ under 24 championships in Kapi Mana later this month. Organised by Lou Williams she was pleased to hand over a cheque of $508 to peter Page, secretary, West City Darts Association at the end of the evening. This money will assist the players with travel and accommodation costs.

14 pairs played. Wilson Henry and Toko Hazel defeated Dean Webster and Jo Kinita in the final. Casey Williams won the prize for the first 180. Dean kindly donated his prize money to the under 24 team. Wilson and Toko are travelling to Hastings this weekend to play in the National Service Club pairs and the Puma Open. Good luck to them both. Most other top Auckland players will be staying in Auckland to play in the APDE pairs in Papakura on Sunday.
