APDE Men's pairs Won by John and Sam


John Sinclair and Sam Bryant of Counties-Manukau won the APDE men's pairs today at the West City Darts Association hall in Ranui defeating Sonny Harris and Tony Lee of ADA in the final 3-2. The first leg was finished by Sam on double 7 and took 24 darts. The second leg was finished by Tony on 68 again in 24 darts. The third leg was won by John and Sam in 22 darts. The fourth leg won by Sonny and Tony in 21 darts. This was the best leg of the final. The final leg was rather tension filled and had the worst darts. Both pairs could have won and had their chances but it was John and Sam who prevailed when Sam hit double 16 with the 29th dart.


The men's highest start was 170 by John Sinclair. The highest finish was 142 by Brendon Deed. The most 180's were by Sonny Harris with two. A special prize was given to Bailey Mathews, aged 10 and his brother Casey Mathews, aged 15 for qualifying and being the youngest qualifiers.
